Joanne from CWB Wanted to see.....





Hi Joanne!

So, the bag started out as a simple woven piece
(intentionally rescued the stain there; apple is decorative).

Then I added a border, which you can see in the next picture of the bag folded up before stitching. You fold it like a diaper?

When it's done, well you can do anything you want to it. I appliqued letters on to this one, as you can see in the finished photo?

  2. Hey Deanna! I made this one to use some thin fabric that couldn't stand much more; once they are woven up they have a lot of body, and as they wear the layers below will be revealed. So thick or thin, this bag really works. And, it is based on the ralli bags from Sri if you don't know them.

  3. well, i just made one from an old paper-pieced block backed with flannel. i posted it to my blog if you want to take a look. i just couldn't wait to try it. i'll do some with the weavings as well later on. thanks for sharing.
